Grief, especially this time of year, can be excruciatingly painful.
🥲Intense sadness.
🥹Expectations – from others and of ourselves.
😔Trying to navigate through grief as we try to redeem the holidays.
😩🤪It can all be overwhelming.
Something I hear from multiple grievers is they wish they could simply hibernate during the holidays.
Hibernating isn’t a possibility, but I can offer some holiday tips to help you through the holiday season.
I hope this encourages your heart today!
Take a moment – or several – throughout each day of this Christmas season to:
🌺Breathe. Breathe deeply.
🙏🏻Pray. Several times a day.
🏄🏼♂️🧑🍳🎨 Do an activity that brings comfort & joy to your heart.
🎄Look for the beauty of the season.
🌷Seek and create peace.
❤️Be kind to your heart.
🥰Be so very good to loved ones.
When family members (or our own self) aren’t acting like the gift they are…remember this: EVERYBODY needs love, grace, compassion, & kindness.
😘Love, care, and seek to be a blessing to others.
💗Freely remember and honor treasured loved one(s) who are missed so very much.
😭If you need a good cry, totally let it out. It’s perfectly okay to grieve deeply.
😊It’s also okay to feel joy.
✔️💗Grief and joy CAN coexist.
🎵🎶Listen to soothing music.
🥗Enjoy a good meal.
🍪🍰Enjoy a few treats.
📖 Feed your heart & spirit every. single. day. by feasting on the Word of God.
